Nov. 18, 2021 – Valparaiso, Indiana – Valparaiso University invites students, faculty, staff and friends from the local community to celebrate the season with a variety of holiday events. December 2021 events include:
Tree Lighting, Tuesday, Nov. 30, 4:30–6:30 p.m., Harre Union. Visit Santa, enjoy a photo booth, hot chocolate and cookies, then catch the fireworks and sing your favorite carols as the Christmas tree comes to life.
JuleFest, Tuesday, Nov. 30, 7 p.m., Chapel of the Resurrection. A holiday concert featuring the Valparaiso Community/University band, plus the Luce Concert Band. Free and open to the public.
The People That in Darkness Sat: A Festive Christmas Vespers, Friday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, December 4 at 5 p.m., Chapel of the Resurrection. A night of music by the Chamber Concert Band, Chorale, Handbells, Kantorei and Symphony Orchestra. Space is limited. Assured seating cards are available from the Chapel and from the Center for the Arts, or email chapel@valpo.edu.
Tuba Christmas, Sunday, Dec. 5, 3 p.m., Chapel of the Resurrection. Enjoy holiday music played by low brass instruments. Participation is $10, admission is free.
