Our program provides opportunities for students to begin taking courses within their major during their first year at Valpo! Students will work with their academic advisor at FOCUS (New Student Orientation) to create the schedule that works for them.
Below is a sample schedule of the types of courses students will take during their first year in the program:
CORE 110 – The Human Experience (4 credits)
CORE 115 – The Human Experience (4 credits)
GS 100 – Strategies for Academic Success (1 credit)
GS 150 – Exploratory Studies (2 credits)
Math 110 – Intermediate Algebra (1 credit)
Stat 140 – General Statistics (3 credits)
Social Sciences Requirement (2 classes, 6 credits)
Humanities Requirement (3 credits)
Natural Sciences Requirement (3-4 credits)
Our program fulfills the objectives of the Indiana Core requirements and even provides opportunities for students to begin taking courses within their major during their first year at Valpo!
