Photos capture the essence of Valpo’s stories, highlighting collaboration, exploration, celebration, and the uniqueness of the place we call home. Whether we’re shining a spotlight on our Beacons or highlighting the Chapel of the Resurrection and other campus landmarks, the best photos are authentic, candid, natural, and keep the essentials in frame.

Using Photo Galleries and Photography Services

Photo Galleries

The Valpo photo archive is a private online collection that houses all of our recent still images. Photos from current events to events from many years ago can be found in the photo archive and downloaded for your marketing needs. To request access, please contact .

  • Log into the site using those credentials and you will have full access to the photo archive here: valparaisouniversity.photoshelter.com
  • The galleries on this site are chronologically ordered according to academic year.
  • Use photos.valpo.edu/search-page to search keywords in the photo archive. The default search order is “Relevance.” You can change it to “Date (most recent)” to get more current results.
  • If you have forgotten your password, then you would need to click the appropriate link on the sign-in page to retrieve it. Valpo does not have access to this password.
  • Your discretion is appreciated as these are unvetted images. Some images may need further cropping or Photoshop work. Do not unrealistically stretch or distort these images, and ensure your use of these photos are in accordance with the Valpo brand standards.
  • It’s important to remember our photographic style is candid and authentic. We aim to use a majority of photos that are not headshots or with students looking at the camera. We want to show that Valpo is a genuinely fun and joyful place through our candid snaps.

All Photography Services

At Valparaiso University, our dedicated photography and videography team consists of both professional staff and student employees to ensure ample photo and video coverage for our campus partners. 

We offer a number of services to campus partners and students at no cost, including:

  • Headshots on the first Wednesday of every month, or by request for departmental photoshoots
  • Athletics photography for games, brag shots, and tailgates
  • Classroom or group photography to be used in promotional materials
  • Event photography for University, student, and college-wide events
  • Scene photography to capture buildings, landscape, or other scenic campus areas
  • Academic videos to promote programs, organizations, or new initiatives
  • Athletics videos for game recaps, athlete testimonials, and more
  • Marketing videos to be used in promotional materials
