Your first step is to complete the OIP’s pre-arrival immigration and new student checklist. Please be sure to review all pre-arrival emails from OIP. This information is also available here.

Follow the steps in your admission email to set up your student portal and begin enrolling in classes. Students admitted into the DNP program must pay the tuition deposit in order to reserve their seat (instructions for which will be emailed to them upon admission).

International student orientation begins on Thursday, August 14 with graduate student orientation taking place on Friday, August 15, 2025. Both days are required for all new international students.

Your attendance at the New Graduate Student Orientation is critical to your academic success and connection to University resources. Your attendance is required on all days.  If you are starting classes in an upcoming semester, your orientation information is below. 

Orientation Schedule

Graduate student orientation check-in on August 15 will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Harre Union Ball Room at 1509 Chapel Dr., Valparaiso IN, 46383. 

Prior to registration, you will need to schedule time with your advisor listed in your admission letter. Your advisor will create a course plan for you to use for registration. First-semester registration can be completed through Self-Service. Your advisor can guide you through this system once you receive a visa.
