Committee to Enhance Learning & Teaching

The Committee oversees applications for teaching/learning expense and travel grants, reviews nominations for the Excellence in Teaching Award, and recommends candidates for Director of Faculty Development.

The Committee to Enhance Learning and Teaching consists of 8 members: six elected faculty members with voting privileges and the Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs and the Executive Director of Faculty Development, who serve as ex officio members.

Important Dates

Review the key application deadlines for upcoming travel grants, expense grants, and summer teaching and learning fellowships.

*For academic year 2024-2025, deadline information is currently tentative. Grants may be limited/canceled due to budget restrictions.

Travel Grant Deadlines

Sept. 13, 2024* – for travel Nov. 1, 2024 – Feb. 28, 2025

Jan. 17, 2025* – for travel March 1, 2025 – June 30, 2025

May 2, 2025* – for travel July 1, 2025 – Oct. 31, 2025

Expense Grant Deadline

Oct. 11, 2024* – for spring, summer, or fall 2025 projects

Summer Teaching and Learning Fellowship Deadline

Feb. 14, 2025* – for summer 2025 projects
