Students can connect with peers through organizations like the Valparaiso International Students Association (V.I.S.A.), African Students Association, Muslim Students Association, and Indian Students Group. Each group hosts events, discussions, and activities that showcase diverse traditions and encourage intercultural dialogue.
The Valparaiso International Student Association is dedicated to supporting, educating, and enhancing an inclusive campus environment among international and American students. We advocate bringing different cultures together to promote positive relationships in our community.

The primary purpose of the organization is to bring together people of African descent on campus and in the community of Valparaiso University. Share the culture and tradition of the African nations that are represented within the organization with the Valpo campus and the Valparaiso community.
A Club dedicated to making the Muslim student body feel welcome and heard on campus. Moreover, MSA is focused on building an alliance between all religious backgrounds by means of dispelling common notions of Islamophobia and familiarizing non-Muslims with the Islam. Also, MSA is focused on bringing a sense of comfortability and belonging to the constantly ostracized and criminalized Muslim community.

Event Highlight
World Banquet
The Valparaiso University International Student Association (VISA), working with International Programs, puts on a yearly banquet and talent show called World Banquet. From delicious and exotic cuisine to talented musicians and dancers, this event will transport you to cultures far away from Valparaiso, Indiana!
It is typically scheduled in February, March, or April of the Spring semester. Keep an eye out for posters around campus and especially in the International Programs office.
Event Highlight
Food Bazaar
The International Food Bazaar is held on the Saturday of Homecoming Weekend (late September or early October) from approximately 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In 2024, it will be located on the intramural field west of Brown Field (Google Maps location), NOT on the lawn between the Fitness Center and the Athletics Recreation Center (ARC).
International students representing many different countries will prepare traditional foods to showcase their culture.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the Bazaar (cash only). $1-2 per ticket, and 10 tickets gets you a big meal.
