About Our Finance Major

Valpo’s BSBA in Finance blends a strong foundation in business with in-depth knowledge of finance. You’ll sharpen your critical thinking and communication skills through general education courses, gain hands-on experience through career readiness classes and an internship course, and build deep expertise in finance-specific coursework—preparing you for long-term success in a variety of professional settings.

Free Electives (Note 1): The credit count for free electives varies based on 3 or 4 credit classes chosen in General Education requirements. Students must reach 124 Cr. to graduate.

In addition to the required courses outlined above, each student in the BSBA program at Valpo’s college for business is required to complete one of the following:

  • A Cooperative Education experience combining full-time professional, paid work experience with academic coursework, or
