Welcome to the Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) Program at Valparaiso University.

Importance: Our Program opened on 1/2023. Not all graduates have registered or taken their board examination. These statistics are a reflection of the students who have taken the board examination as of Dec 2024.
Service work in clinical settings outside academic hours is strictly non-compulsory. Students will not replace regular staff during clinical experiences.

Academic Records And Institutional Policies

The MLS Program adheres to comprehensive policies governing areas such as advising, clinical assignments, grievance procedures, and program completion criteria.

Program Administration and Oversight
Our program is currently in the final stage of achieving NAACLS Accreditation. We are in Serious Applicant Status and will receive the official Board Accreditation Award in May 2025.

The MLS Program is directed by Dr. Cristine Fior Clemente Dos Santos, PhD, MSc., MLS (ASCP)CMSBB. Dr. Santos brings extensive experience in medical laboratory sciences and is dedicated to ensuring the success of our students and program.
