Our goal is to promote knowledge exchange, spark idea generation, and foster the formation of innovative partnerships. Through a variety of networking events, workshops, seminars, and access to our Makerspace, we encourage the cross-pollination of ideas, enabling faculty and staff to leverage their collective expertise.

By providing a space where different disciplines converge, the iHub empowers faculty and staff to unlock new opportunities for research and entrepreneurial endeavors. We believe that when diverse minds come together, incredible breakthroughs happen.

Faculty & Staff Workshops

Faculty and staff workshops are essential professional development opportunities that contribute to the growth, effectiveness, and overall success of one’s career and that of the university. These workshops provide a platform to enhance your knowledge, skills, and expertise in various areas related to your roles and responsibilities. Faculty workshops will focus on improving teaching methods, incorporating innovative instructional strategies, and staying updated with advancements in a variety of fields. Topics will cover pedagogical techniques, curriculum design, assessment methods, technology integration, and student engagement strategies.

Staff workshops will address a wide range of professional development areas such as effective communication, customer service, time management, leadership skills, and technology training to help you grow professionally and enhance your skills. By attending and participating in these workshops, faculty and staff members gain fresh insights and exchange ideas with fellow colleagues to better meet the evolving needs of our students and university.

Networking & Collaboration

The Innovation Hub aims to play a crucial role in fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty members by serving as a central hub for connecting individuals from various disciplines across the university. This collaborative environment is designed to encourage knowledge sharing, idea exchange, and the formation of cross-disciplinary partnerships. Faculty members from different disciplines often have unique perspectives, expertise, and research interests, and the iHub provides a space where faculty can come together, interact, and engage in meaningful discussions and explore new ideas, seek inspiration from diverse perspectives, and gain fresh insights that can potentially lead to innovative breakthroughs. Networking and collaborating with colleagues can also provide the opportunity to develop joint grant proposals, secure external funding, and pursue large-sale research initiatives.

Faculty & Staff Makerspace

iHub Makerspace will be available to faculty and staff and provide an opportunity to explore and utilize a wide range of tools and technologies, varying from high-tech to no-tech, to facilitate innovation. These resources may encompass 3D printers and laser etchers to simple materials like cardboard, Legos, and art supplies. With an appointment, faculty and staff can work with an engineering student to turn their idea into a real physical product by utilizing one of our 3D printers.

The essence of a makerspace lies in embracing the maker mindset, which involves the process of creating something from nothing and nurturing personal interests to research projects. The iHub Makerspace will offer an inclusive environment that cultivates the Design Thinking Process by bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds to build on each other’s ideas to solve problems.
