Steps to Secure Your Aid
Understanding each step in the financial aid process is key to receiving the support you need. From submitting your FAFSA to maintaining eligibility, we’re here to guide you through every requirement with clarity and ease.
Generally, aid recipients at Valparaiso University must:
- Have a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent
- Be degree-seeking, and making satisfactory academic progress.
- Be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credits per semester) for most aid programs.
- Be enrolled at least half-time (6 credits per semester) for certain federal loans and other programs.
- Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible non-citizen.
- Not be in default on a federal loan, owe a refund, or be in repayment on any federal or state program.
