Christ College encourages students to dive deeper into academic inquiry through hands-on research. From presenting at national conferences to participating in university-wide symposiums, students have a variety of avenues to showcase their work and collaborate with faculty on meaningful projects.

Valpo’s Symposium of Undergraduate Research & Creative Expression (SOURCE) is a conference that allows students who have done research in the past year to present their work in a professional setting. Students who have worked on high-quality class projects, honors theses and senior projects, or independent scholarship, are encouraged to participate by making a poster presentation of the research.

The Christ College Student Scholarship Symposium features analytical, critical, creative, and research projects by current Christ College students. Papers in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and the arts are selected by a committee of Christ College students from anonymous abstracts. Authors present their papers and respond to questions from the audience.
