Valparaiso Poetry Review (VPR) is a nationally recognized online journal featuring poems, essays, interviews, and reviews by both emerging and established poets. Ranked as high as #1 among university-affiliated poetry magazines, VPR also offers book reviews and curated reading lists. Valparaiso Poetry Review suggests an extensive reading list with recent and recommended books of contemporary poetry and poetics. VPR invites submissions of unpublished poems, book reviews, author interviews, and essays about poetry or poetics which have not appeared online and for which the rights belong to the author. Submission Guidelines
Valparaiso Poetry Review showcases emerging and established voices in contemporary poetry. Submissions are currently closed and accepted only via email when open. VPR considers unpublished poems, essays, reviews, and interviews, with rare exceptions for previously published work. Simultaneous submissions are allowed, and authors retain all rights. Widely recognized since 1999, many VPR pieces have been reprinted in award-winning anthologies.
