Join us Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at 6 p.m. for an expert panel discussion about the opioid crisis. The panel will be held in room 108 of LeBien Hall, 836 LaPorte Avenue, Valparaiso.
In October, students of the CONHP volunteered to hand out water to race participants in collaboration with Extra Mile Fitness Company. The half-marathon and 5K race was an opportunity to raise funds for the United Way of Porter County.
This year at homecoming, students sponsored a booth on Crusader Way. As part of the Stop the Bleed campaign, students taught individuals how to apply a tourniquet. Stop the Bleed is a national initiative to prepare the public to save lives by teaching individuals about basic first aid to stop life-threatening emergencies, such as man-made and natural disasters. Initiated by the Obama White House and Department of Defense, Stop the Bleed is now sponsored by the American College of Surgeons. For more information about Stop the Bleed, visit bleedingcontrol.org.
