Jacob Scarbrough, a German major and English minor, was recently named a Fulbright Program finalist. During his time at Valparaiso University, Jacob served on the executive board and was a member of German Club and Alliance. He also participated in Kinder Lernen Deutsch, an educational program for local children taught by Valparaiso University German Students. Jacob also participated in Compass, an ESL after-school program run out of Valparaiso for children and families that need tutoring in English. During his senior year, Jacob also worked with ResLife as an RA in the German house. After graduation, Jacob plans to work abroad and teach German or English as a second language.
