New Comma Baroque – In the Hall of the Prussian King

Join New Comma Baroque in their electrifying and dynamic program, In the Hall of the Prussian King: Virtuosity at the Court of Frederick the Great, a celebration of 300 years of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. Frederick II of Prussia, a composer and flutist, surrounded himself with a myriad of the greatest musicians of his day. New Comma Baroque (Leighann DaihlRagusa, traverso; Phillip W. Serna, viola da gamba; Emily Jane Katayama, harpsichord) explores C.P.E. Bach’s dramatic works alongside sublime gems by his contemporaries: Karl Heinrich Graun, Ernst Christian Hesse, Johann Christian Hertel, and Johann Joachim Quantz.
