Social Work Policy Practice Minor

Now more than ever, the world needs Social Workers.

Why Social Work at Valpo?

Now more than ever, the world needs Social Workers. Social work as a profession is projected to grow 12% faster than average between now and 2030 (Bureau of Labor Statistics). Valpo’s hands-on learning and individualized attention from faculty prepares you to be career or graduate school ready on day one. With our accredited program, you will have an automatic fast-track to a one-year master’s degree. Valpo offers not one, but two internship experiences, distinguishing it from most BSW programs in the country. Between 2015-2020, Valpo BSW students contributed roughly 50,000 hours of service to the community.

About Our Social Work Policy Practice Minor

Want experience with lobbying and advocacy efforts? The policy practice minor will help you build your advocacy skills and give you the chance to practice them in real settings. Perfect for anyone interested in leadership, advocacy, communications and public policy.
