Consultant Housing Details

Consultant housing rooms offer essential amenities, including linens, wireless internet, and private bathrooms. Reservations require advance notice and check-in procedures are handled through the Office of Residential Life.

Single-gender units with twin XL bed, desk, desk chair, and closet are available. Guests will utilize a private bathroom attached to the room which includes showers, toilets, and sinks. Each room is equipped with one network port for personal computers as well as wireless network services throughout the residence hall. Bed linens and towels are provided. The cost is $50 per night (includes state and Porter County Innkeeper’s tax).

Students can email reslife@valpo.edu or stop by the Office of Residential Life in Harre Union Suite 230 to make a reservation for Fraternity or Sorority Consultant stays. Residential Life requires a minimum of two weeks advance notice, however, we recommend that you contact our office as soon as possible, as many organizations/departments reserve months in advance. The Guest & Sorority/Fraternity Housing Registration Form will need to be completed.

  • The Chapter or Individual should pick up the key from the Office of Residential Life (Harre Union), during business hours (Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm) on the day of guest check-in.
  • If the guest is arriving over the weekend, the group should pick up their key on Friday before 5 pm as the office is not open on weekends. 
  • The group should return the key and swipe card within 24 hours of checkout, unless the checkout occurs over the weekend the key and swipe card should be returned by noon on Monday

  • The cost is $50 per night (includes state and Porter County Innkeeper’s tax). Once the guest has checked out and the key and swipe card have been returned to the Office of Residential Life, an invoice will be sent to the responsible party. Checks should be made payable to Valparaiso University.
  • Lost Keys- $25
  • Lost Swipe Card-$15
