“Integrity and Excellence in Engineering”

Tau Beta Pi was founded at Lehigh University in 1885 to recognize students of distinguished scholarship and exemplary character in the field of engineering and to foster a spirit of liberal culture in the engineering colleges. It is the only engineering honor society representing the entire engineering profession and is the nation’s second-oldest honor society.

Engineering students are invited to join Tau Beta Pi during their junior or senior year, after they meet certain GPA and character requirements.

Every year we host several events on campus, including the Engineering Picnic and TED Week!
