Valparaiso University Holds Discussion on Prison Education

WHO: John Fantuzzo, Ph.D., assistant professor of education, will moderate a discussion on prison education in Northwest Indiana.

WHAT: The event, “College Behind Bars: Reflections on Prison Education in Northwest Indiana,” will include viewing of scenes from Ken Burns’ recent documentary, “College Behind Bars.” Following the documentary, Fantuzzo will lead a panel of Valpo and other area faculty to discuss the challenges and opportunities for universities involved in prison education. The event will be co-sponsored by the Phyllis and Richard Duesenberg Chair in Christian Ethics, Christ College — The Honors College, and the Valparaiso University Department of Education.
