Turning Theory into Practice

Valparaiso University offers many opportunities to explore the field of politics beyond the classroom. Coursework in political science is complemented with hands-on learning experiences through internships or the Community Research and Service Center. Beyond Valpo’s campus, students can choose to study in Washington, D.C. or at one of Valpo’s many overseas study centers. Students in the political science and international relations department have become leaders in our campus community through organizations like the Student Senate, University Honors Council, and the Political Science Honors Society.
